10–20 MB, every game
Not because we can't build bigger, but because a board game should never cost you a gigabyte of storage or a day of mobile data.
Our story
AlignIt Games started in 2015 as an experiment. Ten years and 140 million downloads later, we build classic board and puzzle games that stay small, load fast and get out of your way. Every one of them is between 10 and 20 MB.
In 2015 we published a single game, Twelve Men's Morris, mostly to understand how app distribution actually worked. The real plan was to build something else entirely.
Then people started playing it. Not through marketing, just people searching for a game they remembered from childhood. So we published another. And another.
For years AlignIt ran as a weekend project alongside full-time work. The catalogue grew to twenty games and passed 140 million downloads.
Today AlignIt Games is a full-time studio working out of Jaipur and Gurgaon, with a small, senior team that moves fast and punches well above its size, keeping a portfolio of twenty games shipping and improving.
What we build for
Most of the world plays on modest hardware, patchy networks and limited data. That is the constraint we design against, not an afterthought but the starting point.
Not because we can't build bigger, but because a board game should never cost you a gigabyte of storage or a day of mobile data.
We keep advertising light and interruptions minimal. A five-minute game of Ludo should be five minutes of Ludo.
Diverse devices, unreliable networks and markets where efficiency isn't optional. That's who we engineer for.

Some of these games are a few decades old. Some are close to two thousand years old. All of them were played with stones, seeds and lines drawn in the dirt long before anyone drew them on a screen.
